Submissions

I want to make this post now so that people are aware of what standard I expect (and will only post) from the submissions.

The images must be high quality, I want (and I expect the followers also want) to be able to see the modification so please make sure that the image is not grainy. Grain can be the result of a badly lit shot or bad quality camera or webcam. For example:

If you only have access to a webcam try to make the best of what you have. You get less grain with better lighting.

Also the size of the modification in relation to the rest of the image is important for example:

This is an ok image but if it were a close up it would better. Make sure that the modification is the focal point of the shot and wherever you can avoid it please do not include unnecessary background objects. Granted I know this wasn’t specifically taken to show the modifications it’s just an example.

If the picture is blurry/out of focus for example:

If the photo is blurry then take another one or several and see which one is the best. This was submitted by jordynxelizabeth

Angling is also important. If you have multiple modifications you want to show then take several photographs and then submit them all (please be aware that if you do this and your photos are accepted then your submissions will be spaced out over a couple of days so there is a variety of pictures on the tumblr). For example:

this was submitted by movingforthesakeofmotion and it would have worked better if she had taken two separate photos. One of the microdermals on her sterum and one of the tattoos on her arms.

PLEASE if you are submitting pictures of just ear modifications just photograph your ear the rest of your face is irrelevant and please if you have long hair clip it back so we can actually see your ear.

Please include a name/tumblr/flickr/deviantART or something so I can identify who submitted the image and give credit where it is due. I always try and give credit with the exception of reblogging so I want to keep doing that. Also please include information about the artist who performed your modification. The name of the artist and the name of the shop is preferred.

I (fwb, crayonsauce is busy with her irl life right now) will judge the submissions on what I see fit. If your picture contains any of the flaws above I won’t post it also if I just don’t think it’s a good modification in general I’m not going to post it. If it has improper jewellery, generally looks unhealthy or incorrect I won’t post it since this tumblr is trying to show the best there is. Hopefully in the future there will be informative texts explaining the different modifications (when I get the chance).

Also if your submission has been highlighted here it is not to purposely condemn you it is just for informative purposes and you are free to resubmit better pictures if you want. Also if you don’t see your mod on the tumblr within 5 days of you sending the email I didn’t accept it. Send your submissions to here.
